Statement of Need
The purpose of this activity is to enhance knowledge concerning the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma (MM).

Target Audience
This activity was developed for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.

Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity participants should be able to:

  • Identify risk factors, including specific cytogenetic abnormalities, that adversely affect prognosis in patients with multiple myeloma (MM)
  • Discuss how the latest clinical laboratory tests and molecular genetic testing can be used to guide therapeutic decisions in MM
  • Review data from recent clinical trials evaluating novel agents and regimens for MM patients with high-risk cytogenetics
