Statement of Need
This activity was developed for oncology physicians, nurses, and pharmacists who wish to enhance their competence concerning the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma.


Target Audience
This activity was developed for physicians, nurses, and pharmacists.


Learning Objectives
At the completion of this activity participants should be able to:

  • Describe the role of stem cell transplantation in the treatment of patients with multiple myeloma (MM)
  • Explain how the integration of novel agents into the treatment paradigm for MM may affect outcomes in patients who undergo transplantation
  • Cite strategies for preventing/managing adverse events associated with treatments commonly used in transplant-eligible patients with MM
